I.

Here we are again, inside the belly

Of vines that stab our dreams to death

Leylines of fractured shadows break us apart

And show us the films we’ve seen

That still remain the same

I know these faces, obscured by dawned eyes

I know these words, it’s all been told before

Where will they all take me, if not back here?

I hold my hand out to dead trees

Those that collapse and leave behind

Blackouts and empty cups

Take my knife and break me

From this heart led famine

Where souls dry out to die

My chainsaw heart is bourne and here it is alight

Retching up a heave in midst of leathered snow

And angsty theater lights, blinded by faith

Here we are again, and here will we be

Still scattering stardust, waiting for the waves

To wash away our remnants

II.

Here we are again, inside the dreams

Of cowards that stab us in our shadows

Leylines of broken darkness tears us apiece

And shows us the movies we’ve made

That still remain the same

I know these eyes, overlooked by a faceless face

I know that tongue, it’s all been heard before

Where will they all take me, if not back here?

I hold my arm out to dead leaves

Those that drop and fall behind

A mirror of broken glass

Take my shoulder and feed me

A piece of bread to starve me

In this place where know to die

My chainsaw heart, expired, but here it is ablaze

Retching up a heave in midst of blundered hell

And anxious stage frights, fractured by blood

Here we are again, and here will we be

Still scattering stardust, waiting for the waves

To wash away our remnants
